Shrinking a hoody? - please forgive me for asking

I wanted to ask the experts here whether its reasonable or even possible to shrink a hoody. The hoody I want has sold out in small and despite scouring every website in the UK and Japan the only one I can find is a medium.

So despite me having a pit to pit size of 20", the hoody I want is 22" long. So is that possible to do?.

If it is not prewashed and is 100% cotton then of course it will shrink a little bit if you wash and dry it. Another alternative is having it tailored. Either way, there have surely been multiple threads on this......use the search function.

No zip at atll just a pullover hoody.

However, at most how much can I expect something to shrink. I was hoping for like 4-5cm?

wtf, no way it will shrink two inches, that is way too much.

most of the shrinking will probably be in length, not width
