denim - thought experiment

If you were designing your perfect jean what would it feature?

For me:

1) selvage

2) ring-ring

3) left-hand twill

4) dry

5) simple stitching, like APC

6) low rise; not too tight, not too baggy; long, for a good cuff

7) and to make it a collection offer different weights, e.g. 10, 14 and 19oz's.

I don't know much about dye-stuffs, so maybe others can discuss this in detail?

if i were to design it FOR MYSELF, i will feature these

1. dry, selvage denim

2. ring ring

3. left hand

4. 14 oz

5. contrast stitching plus hidden rivet

6. normal rise, comfort fit

7. veggie indigo (like nudie's)

8. inner camou pattern and embroidery of my name running along the inner selvedge seam lol

1. 9.5" rise in front, 14" rise in back (low)

2. Slim Fit

3. Slight Boot Leg

4. Right Hand twill, 3x1 weave

5. 15oz selvage denim

6. Vegetable indigo, rope-dyed, dark with a slightly green hue

7. Dual Ringspun yarn is a must

8. Lower rear pocket placement

9. Tan Stitching, excepting indigo back pocket design, and small red insignia (similar to 45rpm "R", Diesel "D")

10. Non-sanforized (I like the twist)

11. Non-bleached (ecru) weft threads

12. Rivets in all the original places, including crotch (but no suspender buttons)

I think I'd just get a pair from the wild_whiskey range, maybe a classic cut intead of the slim fit.
