i'm still wondering that too...everytime i ask him 'bout his rotation

he'll just give me that same old freakin' smile.

he collects almost anything. hehe

both, wife and him are victims, just got a house and dedicated

a large room filled with denims, kicks, tops, toys, mags, vinyls and loads of shit...

maybe it's their retirement plan to open a shop, sit down and chill...

hey but you've got quite a collection yourself there.

i've been searching for levis 201, cant get them and even if i saw it

on ebay i've got concerns. me no special denim agent. cant tell shit bout

details. which button for which year and so on. sigh...got to keep looking.

oh, I have owned pretty much every Levi big E repro and have to say that the 1937 201 DS are the worst of them all. I think mine were 1996 repros. I'm pretty sure they only made them in 1996. I wish they would do a 1966 DS repro, that is my favorive cut of 501. BTW I went to Levis SF this weekend and they don't have the europe levi's reds. instead they have these overly destructed reds made out of selvage denim. the jacket looked cool though.

I currently own 122 pairs. I don't wanna list them up, but I can divide them by type:

Vintage Levis: 41

Vintage Wrangler: 4

Vintage Lee: 22

Evisu(Before 1998!! - primarily bought used for less $€£): 24

Levi's Vintage: 8

Studio D'Artisan: 2

Edwin: 1

Jet*G Jeans: 1

DenimE: 3

Nylon: 2

Full Nelson: 1

Westborne: 1

Blue Corn: 1

Omni God: 2

Ware house: 3

Dry Bones: 1

Eight G: 2

Yen-Jeans: 1

Gleem (Fantastic Jeans!): 2

This is vintage denim versions only. Didn't count: Diesel, G-Star, regular Levi's, regular Lee, regular Evisu (3, for the record.) and so forth. Have probably another 20 pairs right there.

Yeah, I pretty much use all my money on jeans.. I should make a list sometime.

I consider all'yall so called 'fans' owned. ;)

Thing is: i don't wear them all.

The first 'generations' of evisu were primarily (naturally) bought by japanese people who rarely exceeds 31 (my expericene, no pun intended :) in waist, and is because of my size (I'm circa 1.90 / 6.16 feet..) I can't fit them. Currently I have my two most expensive Evisu hanging on my wall (back pockets showing, left leg folded up so the selvage is visible, 2" turn-up of course) as decorations and another 10 pairs I can't even fit. This also counts for my Levis, Lee and Wrangler - I often buy them in smaller sizes just for the collections.

I love some of the models more than others: i, for common day stuff, often wear a pair of Lee's in a nice dark tint or a Levi's model in a lighter fade condition, as condition 1 LEvi's jeans rarely goes for less than 1.000$ so I don't own too many of those ;). If i'm going to look a little 'good' I wear a nice, old fitted pair of evisus, usually slimfit and walk around in those.

I hate buying, you know, jeans just to look smart, I buy them because they tell a story or tell me something.

I never wear the same pair of jeans two days in a row, but I probably have 20 pairs I go with often (I tend to do this: wear a pair at school, change when I get home and go into the city, change when I go hang with a friend after dinner / make homework) so I can easily wear 3 pairs a day. Recently I went away 2 days with my old class, I packed 10 pairs so that can be the explanation how I manage to wear most of them.

I collect Wrangler, Levis, Evisu and Lee so those are the primary part of my jeans, but the rest from the good denim companies are my "wear" jeans. I must say I wear my Denimes all the time, I'm crazy about their 'slim'-fit and also they have so lovely clear pockets.

Cheers.

i just got this japanese 'Cool:Jeans Style Book'

and they've got loads of awesome brands.

most of them with selvedge and nice details

and to make it worst i cant understand a single thing.

dry bones are nice especially DP-510.

I got all the mags :) they rock, absolutely fantastic.. which one you got? the really popular one with the Ezra Fitch levi's 501 Big E thing on the cover? :)

Yeah, I prefer DenimE and especially WareHouse... VERY dope j's.

Here's some pictures..

http://auction.woman.excite.co.jp/item/44067313

and for some reason I managed to MISS this from Joenet, I checked it for the 702 model anyways, but didn't get anything:

cool..thanks for the link. was comparing a pair that my brother left behind for me

and it's got the exact details i wanted. i really love them donut buttons and it's got imprint

j22 behind all buttons. dont really know what it means. guess it's a coding some sort.

my biggest challenge now is to patch 'em nicely. there are tears here and there.

got to do it nicely....

yea the ezra fitch one and another is a Levis mag with Hiroshi Fujiwara on the front cover.

dude, that's a sugar cane back pocket aint it? awesome...where did you get those from?

oh, have you tried buying any from joenet? dont think they accept international orders tho...

cheers

that exact pocket is from http://www.rakuten.co.jp/kitarou/

I picked mine up through some friends in japan but I'm going to buy another pair this summer when I return, currently packing 3.300$ and counting for the trip :)

SugerCane is not really that much of a denim firm thou, the quality ain't that amazing, it seems really light the one 0-wash pair I have, but that might just be my model.

DenimE is what I would recommend but DryBones is absolutely rawking as well.
