dafont is the end all in free font pages. other than that, you'll have to buy legit fonts or find torrents. there was one of 1000 solid fonts going around awhile back... all stuff from house, t26, hoefler, etc

I think this is the one my friend just found. Any chance there is Futura in there? Though I really should only look for dingbats for my project.

pretty much all the high-number font packs that float around bittorrents have futura. I have like 4 different foundries' takes on futura that I picked up from shit like that.

linotype is generally my favorite foundry, along with ITC, for classic fonts. I wish I could get ahold of Underware fonts, but they're really expensive and almost impossible to find on torrents. I also use Linotype's program, FontExplorer, or whatever it's called.

for grunge-stuff types i like misprintedtype.

for other cool stuff, visit http://www.burodestruct.net/bureaudestruct/linkz_txt.html

house fonts are awesome, but i think the only way to get them reasonably quick is via torrents?

ITC and linotype will provide the accurate curves for classic fonts, but otherwise, i'm hitting up the newer guys... Underware (fakir is amazing), House Industries (now pretty much just digging out old photo lettering), Hoefler (solid headline and body fonts), t26 (all over the place) and Font Bureau.

Buro Destruct is great. I have a few links to free fonts on designer's sites that I will post as soon as I get my computer back running and can get to the bookmarks.

I actually found fakir on a bittorrent. It's a nice one, but my personal favorite font is Sauna. That's my favorite - period =]

another cool one (from the futura family) is Avenir. I dont see it used all that much but it's a more body-copy friendly version of Futura. Still has the round counter spaces and such, but a more helvetica-like letterform for most characters.

Thanks I took a look at linotype. It's very clean. I can see why it is so popular. Thanks again.
