tailoring a baggy ass/seat

anyone do it? i had a pair of evisus that i never got around to doing it and now my okinawa's are more that way than i want. anyone know what to expect to pay at a tailor or if its easy to do by myself?

Try just soaking the ass? I made a post about shrinking parts of jeans. Ill see what people say.

You can do it yourself, but its a bitch. Thats not an easy seam to get to.

what I found helps remedy it (without alterations or anything) is to store your wallet and phone in your front pocket instead of the back... it pulls some of the material forward, making it form to your backside better.

I haven't done this longterm on my SC47s, simply because I already have wear on my backpockets, but it does make the jeans look more fitted

Any decent tailor can do this for you no problem. I had it done to a pair of PBJs recently and you could never tell.

where exactly do they make the alteration? on which seam?

i would imagine it would be easiest on the outseam, but i'm curious as to if they juust sew it tighter than cut, or do they just rip the seam and make the selvedge bigger up there?

I got my friend's mum to do a pair of PRPS I've got. What she did was unseam the bottom bit of the arse, not right up to the waist. My PRPS are better fit now since I wear them low waist, doesn't look like I'm hiding something in my arse. The bonus thing is I don't have to much that much.

will doing this make the thigh area of the jeans tighter also? i just bought a pair of Double RRLs and the sizing was way off. I saoked them in cold water for almost 4 hours and there was less about 1/2 inch shrinkage in the waist. The seat is too baggy and because of this the thigh area is to baggy/loose also.

How would i go about fixing this?

im sure it depends where the problem is.

it would probably be a combination of opening up the center back seam

and tightening it, and also opening up the inseam and "pulling" the center

back seam down a little bit - to lower the rise and get rid of some of the bulk

of fabric.
