I tried to pick up a pair of the white wayfarer-esque square frames from s/s 06 (with the metal earpieces) and was surprised to see that while they go for $250 in US stores, they wanted at least 250 euros at the Paris boutique I visited and 300 euros at surrounding stores!

Really? That's so strange. I guess not everything is cheaper there. In my expereince I've never seen anything european made (especially french made) more expensive in Paris than in the US. I guess there are always exceptions.
