pre-soak question

is it always necessary to soak dry denim before wear, or can they be worn straight off without soaking? i have a pair of edwin ed-47 and think they might not fit if they shrink through soaking. what difference does it have ultimately? any help is appreciated.

people (and jeans) vary. some heads like to get the initial shrink out the way early, so that whiskers, honeycombs set in the right place from the off. others prefer the look, and heavy starch content, of raw denim. the choice is yours.

don't worry too much about shrinkage. so long as the waist isn't tooooo tight on you pre-shrink, you'll be fine. to be safe, wear them when they're still damp and they should fit you sooper dooper.
