Can anybody recommend any worthwhile shopping places to go in Beirut. More specifically places with vintage lebanese/arab prints or posters or artefacts.

I'd be interested as well, decent record stores would be interesting. 

Get yourself down to Basta steve, it's certainly got the kind of antiques you're looking for, my dad used to run a storefront there.

I was in Beirut back in 2010, and I found both the Walk Beirut Tour (http://bebeirut.org/walk.html) and the guidebook Beyroutes (http://archis.org/publications/beyroutes-a-guide-to-beirut/) to be invaluable, although the latter is more architecturally focused. Hope you enjoy your trip and make sure to head north to the beaches.
