I couldn't find a topic about these already, so I was wondering if anyone was familiar with these.

I want a pair of black denim, and I think that these are what I'm going to waste my money on. what can you tell me about them? are they black, black? I don't want faded or washed looking denim. I'm choosing between these and the acne cash--any advice? thanks a lot

I'm really interested in these too but due to my location can't order them from luisaviaroma. From the looks of them they seem to be overdyed twill, and I'm guessing they're either one of two fabrics; the lightweight chino-ish cotton twill I've seen other jeans-cut cotton trousers in with a really smooth hand, or a really rough raw-denim like fabric of similar weight and hand to raw denim. I am suspecting it's the former as I keep looking at a pair of current-season overdyed black pants in the latter fabric at DH that I keep thinking are the coal drill 19cm's, but alas, they have a wide, either straightish or bootcut bottom (I can't tell exactly) that is definitely not 19cm, and probably not 21cm either.

Dismal hit it on the head, they're a light chino-ish with a very smooth hand. If you want black denim to break in these are not the ones to buy. The closest denim I can compare them to would be the black Tsubis sans the stretchy.

Do you know how it compares to the APC grey green pants?

these aren't denim i'm pretty sure...it feels like a slightly rough cotton gabardine. Also was a version with waistband made from washed jeans which was $675... :/

^ Those are hideous, IMO... I believe they've started making fakes of that idea too, I've seen the mismatch top hem thing going around the streets a bit....

In comparison to the APC pants, I guess they're pretty similar, and a viable alternative being that, as always, you can buy 2 pair of APC's for the price of those Diors. Fabric-wise, very similar. The Dior is a little less washed and crisper, and the APC version has gone through a subtle wash to lift the fibers and make for a really smooth fabric. Both are light, maybe 6-8oz, max.

You can probably get those New Cure in the black overdye and they'd approximate these Dior pants quite nicely, I'd say. I'm not sure they have them online though, but they are in stores now.
