BUYING JEANS.

Ok, so not really, but up until now all I've ever bought has been GAP and Levis. I'm looking for a little guidance on a good pair of skinny jeans, and a good pair of raw denim jeans that are sorta baggy. Price is not such a big deal, although saving money is always a plus.

Most skinny jeans are mentioned there and if you have a question about a particular pair just ask there. As for a slightly baggy pair a 501 repro would be the way to go.

for raw i recommend the lvc 501 (~$170). it's the standard, and fairly easy to find. personally, i'm a sucker for the sugar cane 47 repro ($160-200, depending on where you look), but that's just me.

as far as skinny jeans are concerned, the apc new standard is fairly slim and affordable, considering ($120-140). my favorite pair of skinny jeans are my dior ($200-300). the new 19cm japanese denim are the way to go there.

Skiiny dunno - my only option for skinny in my book is slim bootcut style jeans which taper towards the knee then back out some ..

I love that look and usually unless the legs are cut overly slim I love the feel - I have muscular larger than norm thighs though

^ We all have different legs obviously but I feel to achieve the really skinny look the most important part is that the jeans are tight through the calves and stack or blouse on top of the ankles.

I guess that could be done in a lot of jeans out there, but after doing it in APC's for a long time with the crotch way tight and the thighs a bit small to the point it was uncomfortable to sit down, I can say the 19cm Dior cut is amazing. Looks proper skinny but manages to give me enough room in my thighs and crotch.

As you have all mentioned before, A.P.C, and Dior are definatley some of the best leg shape/ denims around. Better than the extreme cut of the Tsubi boys!

Anyway, look at SPURR also. Just got them in NYC. Like a 501 but the fit is newer!

They have other leg shapes (classic and boot), but this is my favorite skinny jean out there right now.

They're $325 but worth every penny when you find the right combination of design, denim and fit. Buy them once, or just try them out for your own piece of mind.
