Ideas for School Formal

Anyone have any suggestions for a good look?i'm thinking a nice really dark pair of raw slimfit jeans with..I don't know, maybe a blazer..as you guys can probably guess i'm pretty clueless when it comes to stuff like this, hence this post

Seriously at a formal, it is better to wear a full suit, or a tux, just gorent one, it's cheap, and you'll look good. Or buy one, a good one, that will last you a long time, something you can pull out at any accasion. Try Navy if you wanna be a little different, at your age, most guys will wear black. Also, Navy has the benifit of complementing both pastels and brights much better than black, and is an averall softer look. Wool is king here.

As for wild print: Wither Tie or Shirt, never both, can be mixed with wild pocket square or cufflinks.

You dont wanna look like the pimp version of ronald mcdonald.

Get a nice slim one, some nice shoes and a darn nice slim tie.

i thought about a suit too, but i don't want to look TOO formal, KNOWAAddamean???that's why i thought about jeans instead of trousers.what do you think?

But you dont have to look too formal

if you wear the suit right.

suits are hot. there are times when jeans just won't cut it. gotta love dressing up and sharp as well as dressing down and easy.

I'm assuming "School Formal" refers to High School?

In that case I think a tux is probably a bit much, and kakaro's suggestion of a nice sleek suit will go really well.

If its your first suit, navy is a good suggestion as its more versatile than black.
