does that go with all Dior jean models? anything 28 and under will measure up 17CM?
the 19cm model is the slimmest. but if you wear 28 or smaller in the 19cm model, the hem will measure 17cm.

Here's how it works:

The 21cm style has an actual measurement between 20cm and 18.5 cm, depending on your waist size ((larger waist=larger hem)

The 19cm style has an actual measurement between 17.5 cm and 17cm, again depending on waist size. My 29s have a hem of 17cm.

The 17cm style has an actual measurement between 15.5 and 15cm, but you can't even buy this unless you're 28 and under.

So, no, you can get 28 diors with any of the three hems (assuming they're in stock).

Speaking of sizes, I will be in NYC in a few weeks and was wondering if it would be impossible to find a 26 or a 27?

Yes, the smallest they had yesterday was a 28 and only in a pair or two. And they're not reordering anytime soon, they said.

Also, about the selvage...just called the NYC store and the guy didn't even know what selvage meant...he just said "well all our raw denim is Japanese made," so that makes me think that maybe they're only selling the selvage version overseas? Dunno...but maybe I'll just have to go back and see for myself..

Are there any other boutiques/stores that sell them that might have anything that small? Maybe the outlets?

Try Barney's and Saks, or you can try a small store called Jeffrey on 14th street (in the Meatpacking District, I can't remember exactly what address) they stock Dior Homme and might have some of the smaller sizes.

Is it that these sizes are really really popular, or is it that they don't make very many, or a combination of the two why they are so hard to find?

combination, at the beginning of the season there are probablyly 300 pairs in all of NYC, and maybe 30 to 50 pairs each of 26s, 27s, 28s, and 29s. You have to be quick.

Well, there are stores in NYC that still have selvedge Diors in size 28, I just tried on a pair at Saks yesterday. Silver Selvedge, $400 though. Not worth it compaired to say New Cures or even Hipsters, IMO.

the highest i can go is 280 which is what the 19's i just bought were.

Anyone know if the Dior Homme store on Kowloon Park Drive in Tsim Sha Tsui is open yet?

Oh, and regarding sizing... being that DH's are 2-3 inches smaller by tag size, I guess glut of people buying them would be between the 26/27-30's tags, I'm guessing. Since the DH's appeal to the skinnier guys anyway, I always see the biggest sizes leftover after all the 28" and 29" are swooped up. This might have to do with me being in Asia too, but any of you guys who want 32" or 33" tag-sized Diors would probably not have much of a problem finding them, at least whenever I've looked.

both of my diors (19cm model) measure 16cm at the hem. and i can hardly get my feet through them fuckers. i cant imagine even imagine the agony of trying to pull on a pair of the 17cm model (that is, if they even exist).

Not true...Ive been in contact with the people at the website and they say both pairs ar are Italian-made. I don't think luisaviaroma has any Japanese versions right now.

(The guy said this: "The Item Code 06V079 BRUT DENIM 19CM HEM Dior Jeans are a darker blue and have smaller back pockets than the 06V119 NOSTALGY BRUT DENIM 19cm Dior Jeans.

Both pairs of these Dior jeans are made in Italy.")

Also, Dior IS making a "17CM" jean this season, although they're all sold out everywhere (at least that's what the guy at the NYC store told me yesterday). The actual hem measurement is about 15CM. He said t that for my size (29) I wouldn't be able to get into them anyways, most likely.

As far as I know Dior doesn't make a black raw selvage...although the black raw I tried on yesterday were pretty nice, a little too stiff for me though.

italian made and italian fabric are two different things man. they could be made in italy but of japanese denim. a lot of companies do shit like that.

hahaha

I'm a week into these jeans and I already want the black pair, fuck. Anyone have the corduroy or twill DH pants by any chance? Are they 21cm hems?

Well either way apparently the luisaviaroma guy was wrong, I just got this:

"I wanted to update you about the Item Code 06V119 Dior Brut Denim 19cm Hem Jeans that are Euro 216.00.

This pair is MADE in JAPAN thus the Euro 216.00.

The 06V079 Nostalgy Brut Denim 19Cm jeans at Euro 172.00 – this pair is made in ITALY – therefore “less expensiveâ€.

I regret the confusion this may have caused."

There was a 27 on the floor of the boutique when I went in today, I'd scoop it asap if you're trying to find a pair. As for the saks selvage ones, umm, what happened? The hand is like paper; and indigo? what indigo? Disapointed, but not suprised.
