Good spots to go to in Waikiki?

Any good spots to visit in waikiki oahu area? preferrebly nightlife spots or good beaches!!

Last time I went I went with the fam so I don't know about nightlife much. We did the standard snorkeling, parasailing, etc. I think most of the beaches are the same, but this might just be an ignorant statement. As far as shops, I think the Ala Moana shopping center is the biggest, with all the major stores.
