Now, living on my own for a bit now, im hankering for a isamu noguchi table in walnut

i dont have, nor want to spend 1200 dollars on a hermal miller production so, i would love to try to produce one myself, or at least attain the templates for the table

can anyone point me in the right direction?

yeah, i can easily walk to de boers in north york and get one for 600 bucks, but i think it would be interesting if i produced it myself with antique walnut or had a carpenter make it for me

I never thought that I'd buy glass furniture - always seems cheap and cold. But the Noguchi, esp. in walnut is stunning, both in form and mass.

The glass is monolithic. Plus the small details, like the laser-etched signature along the edge and the metal stamp on top of one of the legs completes this piece as heirloom.

I'd be interested in seeing your final product if you take on this endeavour.

well its not like isamu built the tables himself. He designed the piece for herman miller, who then reproduced the design en mass
