Puma x Vexed Generation (a.k.a. outlet discoveries)

Was dragged to an outlet mall for the 2nd time over the 4th. 1st visit felt like I was caught up in a maelstorm of sweat induced from mass frenzy over quasi-deals on quasi-overstock. Vowed never to return.

In a more pleasant, adventurous mood this time. Lo and behold, found some Nike Rival Shox Fish-skins, claimed to be originally $250. Wife liked the sleek, unusual style and $50 tag made the decision easy.

Saw a pair of Nike AF1 Supremes (appeared to be some one-piece mock/real brown ostrich), but no real deal at $145 based on the stated srp of $150. Plus, size 10 in the AF1 was far too large for me - odd since I wear sz 10 in every other Nike (including Dunks & AM1).

Adidas had an surfeit of Micropacers for either $40 or $60 (cannot remember). Seemed like a good deal, but wasn't my style.

Finally stopped in Puma. My curiousity in Puma has been piqued as of late, ever since I picked up a pair of clearanced Alexander McQueen Anatomical Bone in white. For those looking for skinny white sneakers or what to wear with skinny jeans, these are incredible. Still have a couple of pairs at Neiman Marcus online at 40% off.

Anyway, saw lots of Mihara's. Too gaudy for me. But they're there, and some discounted a further 40% off the already clearanced price.

What finally got me were two jackets. One was a UM (Urban Mobility) Protective Jacket. The other was a UM Track Jacket. It immediately struck me that there wasn't any obvious branding on either jacket. Only a very small strip of black cloth stitched to an inconspicuous area - the actual logos (1 of the cat & 1 of Vexed Generations star trek-like logo) were nearly invisible as stamped inverse reliefs.

The protective jacket looks like a fitted moto gp jacket, with a lot of zippers (some sealed). Here is a link to a photo:

Sizes run very large, so I had to size down from my usual medium/large to a small. Best of all, this jacket was originally priced at $278 - all discounts applied left a charge for $77.99.

My favorite is the track jacket. Very subtle and traditional, yet nice distinctions that separate it from the rest. Both pieces feel very quality, especially the track jacket. Original price on the track jacket was $95 - paid $26.99.

Didn't know a thing about Vexed Generation - not much info in this forum. Got home and found a little at their website. Welcome anyone with more info or experience with their garments.

A return trip to wade through the quagmire for other Vexed styles is not unthinkable anymore.
