Anybody heard about Lee Cooper? They are quite famous in Europe and has been in the business for almost 100 years. but they started to make jeans in the 40s. Do you have any information about them, their line of jeans and if how are their vintage denims compared to levi's ones?

Sorry for digging up this thread... But does anyone have some info on these?

I just found a pair of Lee Cooper with red line selvage and button fly, and I'd like some info on their vintage stuff... Paid $10 for the jeans and a vintage, danish made sweater. :D

There's a small article in a men's fashion mag about the revival of this brand in recent years. They now have a "platinum" line (with actual platinum stitching) that are not bad if you 're into washed jeans. Not easy to find in NA, but easy in EU, and not expensive.

Historical info (courtesy of James Sullivan's "Jeans") - founded in 1908 in England as a workwear company.

Here they are... They're button fly, there's no hidden rivets. The patch is not leather, but some strange material... Feels like really thick sail cloth.

...speaking of which, the article also says their new jeans use a new lycra material for directional stretch. Maybe they're know for their use of blends?
