JAPAN - New Merch Dates?

I'm headed to Japan - Osaka and Tokyo - to shop in late August or early September. I want to go after all the clearance sales are over and the new merchandise hits the stores. Does anyone know when this is or when is too early to go?

From my experience, the big stores (Isetan etc) clear out most of their on-sale merchandise in a day or two. By late July, depending on the store, there might be a few sale items left but by then they usually have the new season in stock. You'll be fine going in late August/early September.

i live in yokohama(30 minutes from tokyo by train), an d im pretty sure you wont be seeing much sales then.
