lightweight jeans??

ok ok im bound to get some "what your jeans don't cost $3000 and take 20 months to wear in? ah ha ha!" replies but i wonder what your expert thoughts on "lightweight jeans" are?

ive seen them in lame-o magazines like GQ before and i was thinking of getting some for the summer. does this make me a denim barbarian + are there some that you would recommend? although i probably wont find them around DC bleh

i don't have many light weight jeans, but i know that rag & bone make some nice light weight jeans. i saw nom de guerre's current line, and they have a nice light weight selvedge jean that costs around $240.

You live in DC? It's about a year, but go see Rosana and Dinah at Circle Boutique on 17th Street in Dupont. They have Rag and Bone denim there. Picked up some 10.5oz Selvedge denim called RB8. Perfect for the summer, and the constant heat and humidity here in BKK. They have amazing detailing and fade into a this weird blue-green color.

DenimBar (Pentagon Row) may have some, too, but not sure. They are worth checking out though.

Relish in Cady's Alley (Georgetown) may have something but don't know for sure.
