very nice item would cop if it was 48/50

how do you know it's ramie without a fabric label? and how can a prototype have a retail price?

Very good question. I am working on my own clothes in my Atelier and I would say that I can feel and touch most fabric fibers and yarns, at least for classic pieces such as Dior uses. As Dior Homme is usually not treating their materials with finishes such as stiffeners, i am almost 100% sure that this material is a ramien wool fabric, very similar in fiber, roughness, structure and touch to one that I bought from Lyria, I think it was also used by Carol in 08.

The only way to really tell is probably by reading the material reference on the coat, which I can't, never understood the material digits.

I can guarantee that this is not 100% wv tho.

Prototypes actually do suggest a selling price, as they hung in the showrooms with prices for store owners, which suggest the final outcome price. Of course I don't know the original price, but it is a comparison to the average jacket price during this era,
