hitler hated artists and would have gassed your friend for expressing himself. just saying.

he would have gassed Galliano too for proclaiming himself Gay and a Gypsy.

The story isn't about who Hitler was but what people are allowed to say. In France you can murder someone but have leniency if you prove it was a crime of passion. Yet you can be completely drunk and say something stupid to people who are abusing you and end up jailed for 2 years.

Nobody believes Hitler is good in any way but Galliano shouldn't be crucified for his outburst.

I think he'd have got a pass for his third Reich on ice costume. The Nazis were nothig if not impeccably aesthetically conscious.
