Best way to shrink Tees

Just wondering what is the best way to shrink t-shirts without it effecting the print. I have a XL tee and in a size Large. XL was the last size in the shop, and ive been hunting for this tee for sometime.

Its quite an expensive tee, so i'd want to take all measure to make sure it doesnt get wrecked in the process.

What is the best way for me to shrink it to size L to fit me right.

There is a print on both the front and back.

Any help will be much appreciated.

okay, i got a free shirt last night (XL) and i wear an l, and im not really worried about ruining the print cuz it was free and all.

how can i try shrinking it?
