Shoe sizing help: MJ Vans Slip-Ons vs. Chucks

Hey guys, I'm looking to pickup a pair of MJ Vans slipons but was hoping to get a little help with the sizing since I've never tried a pair on. I wear a size 8 in the chucks slip-ons and a 8 or 8.5 in the laceup chucks but I know the chucks run big. What size MJ Vans should I be going with?

I wear an 8 in chucks and I have the MJ Vans old skools in 8 and 9. The 8s run snug, while the 9 is kind of pushing it in the clown shoe department if you're pairing them with slim or skinny jeans. In retrospect, I would have gotten them both in 8s.

yeah.. chucks sizes are a size down from what i usually wear (sz 7) and my MJ's are a bit loose but they're size 7 as well. but then again they're sk8-hi's so i'm not so sure how they'd go with slip-ons

In my experience a half size down from your true size should be solid.
