You can never go wrong with that jacket. It will carry you though your youth and into adulthood. I am pretty sure a hoody won't do that. Go with the horsehide version. It is alittle more $$ but well worth it. Ageing looks better and it will be naturally more waterproof. Eastman makes a good one, but LOST WORLDS makes a really nice on too as well as AERO. Do alot of research if you are looking for authenticity though. Subtle differences on this style jacket can make it look wrong.

eastman claims to be very diligent when creating replicas, claiming things like "Exact copy of the original maker’s label produced on a vintage shuttle loom" etc. this IS the horsehide version, btw.

Cool, I highly endorse this style and brand (Eastman). I had an Aero one and I loved it but I traded it for a heavier one.
