Is there much difference in quality between the dry selvedge and just dry. I don't know if it's worth pay twice the price for the streaky dry selvedge or just get dry. Is the denim for the non-selvedge Dry's the same as Regular Ralf Dry Selvedge?

The SSD are like last seasons plain SSDS or the current RRDS and DG.

So in other words, the quality of the denim in SSD is pretty much the same as the RRDS. The denim will look the same and fade in the same way? Or is the quality slightly better in the RRDS because it's selvedge made by looms?

I know what selvedge is, and how it is made from the way old looms produce denim. I just don't know if the quality of SSD and last seasons SSDS are very different or not. Or whether being dry selvedge or just dry will look or fade much differently.

Go with what look you want, ie regular dark or streaky. I own the streaky sven (selvage) and it's wearing/fading pretty slow and it's rather soft, but on the other hand damn comfortable. I've gotten the impression that the regular dry sven is more like the RR dry in its character.

I think your right, Beef.

The Dry, in any cut, is a totally different denim than that in the RRDS or SSDS.

It is not rigid and is much lighter weight and doesn't gain as much charachter over time as the DS.

The RRDS denim is Japanese and a very solid dark color when new, and the SSDS denim is an Italian denim and quite streaky before wear. Both of these age beautifully.

I believe the SSD is made of Ola denim, which is 11 oz and very beautiful, but just doesn't wear in too well. I would go for the SSDS. I have the pair and the fading may be difficult, but the streaks are insane.
