Sold Items Moved to the Bottom, New Items Toward the Top

Title says it all; whether from Y!, rakuten, sufu, sz, or an actual *gasp* store, I've accumulated some items that I need to part with. Happily, that means these things have a chance to go and live a productive life elsewhere. Maybe that "elsewhere" is with you and your closet. One can only hope. In any case, check it out.

(Oh, right. To begin, these things are here for a variety of reasons. Chief among them is that they are too large (for my taste, which means shrink-wrapped). In life I am 6' and 138 lbs.)

(Note: items shipped from Beijing. Paypal gift preferred or add 4% to total.)

Continued after comments at the bottom.

1. Viridi-Anne Linen Blend Blazer (2)

Selling this as it is probably about a half size too large. My favourite elements are the pagoda shoulders *swoon*, though the actual texture of the jacket is heavenly as well. The colour is, for the most part, black; though upon closer inspection, strands of the darkest blue and grey are visible in the pattern as well. Fully lined in cupra with medium, formal lapels. Worn sparingly, and in essentially brand new condition.

2. IC - Devoa Single-Button Blazer (46)

Interest-check at the moment. I really, really like this jacket, I'm not really sure if I wear it enough though. In any case, (please do not hate me...), I am not actually 100% as to what the jacket's primary material is--some sort of silk blend, though that is as far as I can deduce. It is also fully lined in cupra. Curved sleeves for a slim and anatomical silhouette. Lapel-less with the aforementioned single button and somewhat mandarin collar. Speaking of the button though--it is rather loose (pictured), though this could easily be remedied. Pronounced shoulders and a single vent in the back.

3. Julius F/W 07 (Untitled) Pants (Size 1)

Getting rid of these really pulls at my heartstrings. I have lived with these for quite some time, but alas, the number of things that they presently can play nicely with in my closet is dwindling. That said, one could probably succumb to the uzumaki if they stared too hard at these pants' coating.

4. Badasssssssss Japanese Thrift Store Combat Boots (~42.5)

Mega max points for understanding the above-mentioned reference! In any case, these boots are, true to Nas' word, the most ILLmatic boots on the block. They are of indubitable quality, and hail from a Harajuku thrift store. I would estimate their age to be from the '80s, but they have obviously been around the block (JSDF bootcamp?) and look absolutely amazing. They have a relatively-recent rubber sole affixed to the bottom. If these ever had a formal size, it has long since been forgotten, but I wore these as a size 9/9.5 quite comfortably. They could, perhaps, accommodate a size 10 a bit better, but anywhere in the 9-10.5 range should have these work without a problem.

4. Glamb S/S 10 'Eos' Leather Rider (Size 1)

I was conflicted as to whether or not I really wanted to sell this. After a rather prolonged period of reflection, I concluded that the rider style doesn't really fit in with the rest of my aesthetic or wardrobe. I've already mentioned my affection for Resident-Evil-Chic, so no need to elaborate any more on that. Great for somebody trying to channel Eddie Cochran or looking to reenact that movie 'Wild Zero.' I tried the latter, but alas, it was not meant to be (zombie bites...).

Color is black, despite what my orange lights might have to say. Jacket is fully lined. Has neat pockets and was lovingly maintained. In essentially brand new condition. Heavy YKK zips and button snaps. Leather is absurdly soft. Not available outside of Japan.

5. Lad Musician S/S 09 'Vega" Pants (Medium: Lad Size 46)

Ever want to be Vega from Street Fighter? I mean, going through life with the personal motto "Handsome fighters never lose a battle" and complimenting the defeated with "Thank you for a gorgeous time!" probably rules, right? Right! Well, those are my mottos and I am here to tell you that this is the truth. So... my secret? Well, I can't tell you, but at least a part of it might have involved these trousers. Side zip AND enormous gold buttons for added coolness, check. Silk 'cummerbund' at the waist, check? Exotic dark shade of purple, check! These can be worn high on the waist or lower (I went with the latter...), with a deconstructed button-down or a with a basic white tee. Either way, you better be smoking some cigarettes and/or be ready to fight.

6. Random Japanese Sequin Shirt (S)

Not so much to say save for that it is cool and rather long, and could probably be worn successfully as a dress. Made of some sort of a cotton/silk blend, it has sequins on one side and not on the other. Entirely brand new, though sans the tags. Low and wide neckline makes for easy layering underneath. Shoulders are raglan.

7. Undercover Double-Layer Tank (M)

Ever so slightly too large for me. This, of course, really makes me mad considering how totally rad this tank is. Two, very much used-looking, layers on the tank. The bottom is like a ratty thermal or thereabouts, coming with intentional holes and rips and patches sewn on. The top layer is standard tee shirt weight and is equally as deconstructed as the bottom. Actually, sort of warm when worn due to the substance of both of the layers.

8. APC S/S 2010 "The Woodsman" Shirt (S)

Not so much Kevin Bacon chic. Designed to be an over-shirt, and made out of a light flannel. Acquired from Blackbird over the winter and barely worn. The blue, red, and off-white plaid is quite handsome, however. Best on a larger 44 or smaller 46. Happy little double pockets and blue pearl buttons.

9. Julius S/S 03 (For Tomorrow) Velvet Tank (Size 2)

This is just slightly too large for me. Recently acquired from a member on SZ. Another piece of "vintage" Julius (same season as the tank for sale below). Fabulously soft black velvet tank which would be perfect as a layering piece due to its lustre. As velvet would, it reflects light very well and would make for a nice accent to a darker outfit.

10. Julius S/S 2003 (For Tomorrow) Tank (Size 2)

This tank is ridic. Reminiscent of a brick wall (under the tracks) in Shaolin (the Wu-Tang Shaolin...), this tank brings both the soul and the "WTF." Plus, it's a throwback all the way to 2003 which may or may not have been the first season of Julius. Kind of crazy to think at how the label has changed since then, but then again you can still see echoes of this style even in recent collections (though the newest Julius printed garments remind me way more of Shao Khan X Ed Hardy :<<< ). So this is pretty ill.

5. Ann Demeulemeester S/S 09 Beetle Brooch

Oh my gawd, this little guy is so ridiculously cute! I'm not actually 100% sure that I want to let this go, but I figured that I would test the waters a bit in the meantime. That isn't to discourage interest, however, as I don't wear it nearly enough to really justify keeping it. Primarily I just like to look at it and it may or may not have its own name. Contrary to what the picture might like you to think, the colour is, in fact, a dark black (rather than, say, a gold or lighter black). It's back is covered in tiny sequins that shine when the light hits them flush. He has little arms and feelers on his head and abdomen. Underneath, he is held to you by way of an oversize safety pin. (He even has little eyes.) I always wore him on the lapels of blazers and, needless to say, the little dude sparks up more conversations than you will probably ever want to actually have. Again, not to discourage you.... He comes with the little box that he came/lives in.

9. DRKSHDW Black Waxed Twist Jeans (27)

These jeans and I never quite hit it off. I typically only wear cigarette jeans, but I thought that I'd diversify and wear them over boots. Well, turns out I like my jeans tucked into boots too much to really accept these. So here they are, more or less unused (2 times outside). They are from the women's line, fyi. Unfinished hems. Still retaining all of their wax. Great for girls or guys.

12. Cassius S/S 09 "Pawson" Sunglasses

Sometimes I dream that I have a terrible disease. I go to the store, pick out a badass pair of eye wear, and go home happy. Later, when I put them on to go out, I realize that something just looks off and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is. Soon I realize it's the glasses. And that is my terrible, terrible disease. I got these last year for hot summer usage and they did their scientific best to help me out in the age-old struggle between eyesight and those darned UV rays, but alas--now it is technically July, but the thermometer reads 67, and I realize that I probably won't need sunglasses for the foreseeable future. So here they are. They've seen moderate usage, but are free from scuffs or etching. Tint is moderate, with a slight purplish-grey hue to it (much preferred over warmer colours). Also included are the original polish scarf and the neat Cassius box. So then. Have fun. In the sun. You will find me reading "The Authoritarian Personality" indoors this summer when the temperature is under 70. I kid, but only sort of. Ole.

16. B Store F/W 09 Bert2 Witch Boots (42)

Hmm. Witch boots? Yes! Witch boots! I realize I could have called them "Baba Yaga Shoes" but that would have made them all the more inscrutable. No, they don't possess any magical powers (that I'm aware of at least...) or confer the ability to build huts standing on chicken legs, but still... they do look pretty cool. Or at least I would like to think so. I mean, I did buy them after all. But anyway, their color is black (listed cryptically as 'arctic black/black western' on the box) and they are lace-up. Five eyelets and three lace prongs, for a total of eight. Rise is to ankle. Wear these with a slouchy skirt, an oversized tattered sweater, and a pair of antique glasses and you will be feared by all the children on your block. This is what I did. I understand if you have other plans, however.

17. April 77 Brushed Black Joey Jean (26)

My stable of A77 is being culled. For ages my daily uniform, other forms of denim have since come to woo my fickle heart away. These particular jeans were purchased from Seven in December of last year, so they are far, far from some of my mythical (think Fafnir) veterans of punk shows and table dances. Despite what yer lyin' eyes (and the name on the tag) might tell you, the color is actually a dark navy blue, almost turning into black. Under all but the most bright lights, they will, in fact, appear to be black; but when in said bright lights, you will see that yes, they are, in fact, blue. These jeans are in fantastic condition and the guitar pick (not shown in images b/c I was still looking for it...) is included. As with all A77, these fit two sizes larger than tagged (fit 28/9).

18. April 77 Rodeo Joey Jean (25)

I like these jeans! These are the closest to anything resembling "blue jeans" that I've had for years. These were purchased from the A77 flagship store in Paris last year and have seen moderate action since then. Named "Rodeo" for either connotations of class camouflage (infiltrating the saddle bronc competition at yer local stockyard...) or emulating Jake Gyllenhaal post-mountain-romps when he meets the woman in the red sports car. Either way, these jeans are great. Tagged 25 but fit a 27 or 28. Contrast stitching throughout with burnt orange and dark blue seaming. Guitar pick included. I only caution this: don't get to Mexico... because what you do in Mexico, Jack Twist... might get you killed. RIP Jack Twist. Poor Ennis.

1. Damir Doma Jacket (46)

I won't lie, with DD's ridiculous naming schemes, I honestly don't remember the proper name for this piece. I will say that once upon a time I pined for it deeply. I finally found it in this size and thought that it would work out. Not so much. I'm typically a 44 and this is only slightly larger than I would like. Great for a true 46 or larger 44 depending on how fitted you'd like it. As I mentioned, I require shrink-wrap, which explains its presence here.

2. Julius F/W 09 (canon_2) Waxed, Destroyed Twist Jeans (Size 1)

I was so happy when these arrived from Hide-san. However, I quickly realized that I should have stuck with DBSS denim for sizing purposes. That said, I really, really, wish that these fit, as they are easily some of the most iconic and undisputedly badass jeans around. Don't get me wrong: I am all about the post-apocalypse, but in the Milla Jovovich way--not the Mad Max.

3. Julius S/S 07 (Underworld) Giza Knit Top (Size 1)

Classic Julius style with this. Elongated torso and arms with slim chest and shoulders. Enormous cowl neck/hood that can be worn any number of ways (like a queen, peasant, or however you like...). Light beige or off-white in color. Semi-sheer. Knit is in amazing condition and will stretch to fit your body. As the UT announcer is fond of saying, it is "wicked sick" for layering with its torso length, long sleeves, and gigantic neck. I suggest wearing something underneath it (semi-sheer), however, unless you are into the Glenn Danzig look.

4. Rick Owens Shawl Wrap/Cardigan (free size)

Another star-crossed acquisition. I, the impressionable youth enamored with draping and layers. It, an adaptable wrap for warmer weather that could be worn literally to the seventeenth decimal of pi (multiplied to become a whole number, of course) number of ways. Seriously, wear it like Elvira, Frodo, or the Scorpion King--only the adept will be able to tell that it is all the same piece. Semi-sheer.

5. Prada Mohair Sweater (48)

Again, I can't lie--I totally love this sweater. But I am a sucker for siouxsie, mohair, and horizontal stripes so... what can I say? I've worn it oversized and that has worked out rather well. However, I have other sweaters that fill that niche better and are slightly more oversize, so I am afraid that this piece has become superfluous. But it is truly lovely. I have considered keeping it and maintaining it as a pillow....

6. Robert Geller S/S 09 "Marcello" Frames

See the below-mentioned rationalization for my explanation for selling these. As much as I would like to look amazing in frames (and several different styles later...), I just can't seem to make it work. These are amazing, however, and speak to some sense of urbane sophistication that I lost somewhere along the way (replaced, as it were, with a more "in-your-face-rayguns-n-mace" aesthetic that I've cultivated ever since). Sort of makes me wish I were Italian or friends with Truffaut or Fellini.... But anyway, time for brass tacks. These are black (not matte black!) and are shaped for someone named either "Poindexter" or "Barthelomeo." I only ever dared wear them with shirts with collars, but I suppose that since I never really did them justice, that you are free to do with them as you will. Essentially new condition (worn slightly and loved), with no scuffs or abrasions on either the lenses or the frames themselves. Gold lettering on the inside. Comes with the original polish scarf and case. Um, that's about it. Voila.

7. Julius MA F/W 09 Blazer (Size 1)

"$#*&@!" That's really all I can say about having to sell this. Somewhat bucking the trend of this thread, I am actually selling this because it is just a little too small for me in the shoulders. Otherwise, I would have clung to it as Alec Trevelyan clung to the Aricebo space telescope at the end of Goldeneye (that is, before James loosened his grip...). Quite a classy piece: elegant, simple, clean--all the things that we thought the MA line would be prior to S/S 10 (wha wa wa). Fabulously tailored in the chest and waist, this particular blazer also has darker (black vs. the primary charcoal color) sections of wool on the lapel and arms that look amazing with a pair of trousers matched to that color. Apart from that, allow me to delineate the rest: single-breasted, single-button, two pockets, four buttons at cuffs, two interior pockets with button closures, darts at the waist and chest, fully lined grey cupro interior. You get the idea. Blazer is toned-down from some of the mainline's rather extreme suits, but still retains a very "Julius" subversiveness. Fabulous for pretty much anything. Worn once to try on, completely brand new. Original tags included, of course.

8. Viridi-Anne S/S 09 Claw Pendant

Okay. So I really like this accessory. But, when I wear it sometimes people get the wrong idea. Not that anybody could truly believe that I could be some sort of crazed death-fetishist or something, but... er... never mind. So that's never happened, but I don't really like metal anymore so Dr. Claw has got to move on to keep somebody else company for a bit. All that being said, this necklace is rad. And I mean RAD. No, not like Hourani, just super wicked sick (Hourani only achieves this 50% of the time...). Construction is out of pure silver and is cast fabulously; you can even check for arthritis in the articulation of the knuckle and wrist joints if you are so inclined. I tried, but as when I attempt to channel deceased artists (hey, hey Modigliani!) or divine meaning from reading fractured turtle shells floating in broth--I see nothing. Maybe you are different. Maybe you are special. Maybe you are elect? Or maybe you just want a RAD accessory to add to your image or stable of many images. (And maybe I've talked too much....) Anyway, comes in the original VA box that it came to me in.

9. Attachment Jersey Basic (Size 2)

Oh, Attachment! One minute Size 1 is the size of Abu (Aladdin's sidekick) vest, and the next it is, apparently, the equivalent of a standard 44. In any case, this is -- story of my life -- just a little bit too large for me. It is brand new, coming with all of its original tags. It would be perfect for a small/standard 46. Apart from the sizing issue it is a great basic piece, having a scooping neckline and 2/5 length sleeves. Longer than a normal tee shirt, it is more like a jersey than a its shorter little brother. Made of a slightly thicker cotton than usual for a basic, makes this an ideal choice for the coming Fall and Winter (why I bought it). Seams along the neck, hem, at the sides, down the back, and around the sleeves. Color is black.

10. Rick Owens F/W 08 (Stag) Alpaca Asymmetric Knit Sweater (M)

Well, that was a mouthful! This is slightly large on me (yet, awkwardly for me, not quite large enough for me to wear effectively oversize...), which is why I am selling it. I've always liked to wear this with white basics and/or crisp button-downs, but I don't actually wear it often enough to justify keeping it. That said, the alpaca that it is made from is soft beyond belief (though not in the Fancy-Feast-Persian-Cat-like way that mohair is soft--a more rugged soft if that makes any sense...), and it is rather a joy to wear. The colour of the piece is also amazing, as it is technically a light black, but which also contains traces of brown, grey, and blue upon closer examination. The cut is marvelous as well, being asymmetrical (which I always appreciate!) in both the hem and the neckline, as well as having a diagonal "pleat" running from the middle of the back to the left bottom side. In terms of fit, the piece can accommodate a wide range of sizes. I am an XS in Rick and most everything else, yet it fit more or less in the way that I intended (oversize). Otherwise, it would be best for a 46 or smaller 48, though I would imagine that it could work on even a small 50. Furthermore, due to the material and the knit, it is very much a flexible fit, as you can stretch it out or shrink it back depending on your particular caprice or need.

11. DRKSHDW Leggings (Women's Medium)

I like these leggings, and these leggings like me. Thing is, I'd prefer ones that fit more like tights as I think they look better on me when worm with... pretty much everything. So these have pretty much just been "Eating ice cream and watching Lifetime Original movies" lounge wear. J/K... but only sort of. Really, these have only been lightly used (too classy for real lounge wear... where the Fruit of the Loom at?!). J/K once more... but again, only sort of. But yes: black, cotton, ribbed, elastic at the waistline, not elastic at the hems. Pretty normal leggings. Has a fun little DRKSHDW "tail" that is actually rather entertaining to run around with (reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog...). Would fit a 46/44.

12. Ann Demeulemeester Asymmetric Hemline Tank (L)

Received new from another Sufu member and still sporting its original tags. This tank is more than slightly too large for me (the case with 75% of impulse buys *sigh*), but might be perfect for you! The color is a dark chocolate brown. The tank is soft like your grandfather's plain white tees from the 1940s (what, you DON'T wear them?). Has an asymmetric hemline that is longer in the back than it is in the front (see measurements). Unfinished hem. Semi-shear, which makes for amazing layering.

13. Band of Outsiders S/S 09 Checked Button-Down (S)

This shirt is a basic short sleeve button-down with a Band of Outsiders twist. Rather than merely going with a solid white colour, this shirt instead has a subtle check pattern throughout the fabric that is, I must say, pretty awesome. The check pattern is only really visible when not in direct (read: bright) light, but when it is you will feel inexplicably feel less tense and languorous (i.e. not in an office). White check fabric with contrasting black buttons and rolled sleeves, this shirt fits--as do all BoO garments--exceedingly slim in the torso and shoulders, so check the measurements to be extra safe (this is how I prefer my button-downs, but I know that that is not a universal expectation...). Features a single, oxford-style pocket and has three pleats in the back for added closeness of fit. Best best for a larger 44 or smaller 46.

14. Ann Demeulemeester S/S 2010 Distressed High-Top Trainers (42.5/9.5)

Eeeeeeee! These are lovely! Magnificently distressed suede-like canvas on top of thick, patent-leather-like sole and toe-cap (actually, it could very well be patent leather, but as I'm unsure, I won't state that it is...). The overall black-upon-shinier-black effect is as elegant as it is sinister (if Batman wore high-top sneaks, he would, without a doubt, wear these). Paired with a tight black stacked pant and basic white tee, you will look like the badmutha Joey Ramone that all those Gilman Street punks wished that they could be. For me though, my initial sense of besotted ecstasy both lived fast and died young as I determined that I preferred a slimmer silhouette for my sneakers, as well as realized that I probably could have stood to wear a size 9 in these instead of a 9.5. Anyway, as you may gather from the lack of wear on the soles, these particular sneaks haven't been worn and are entirely brand new with both the original box and dust bag. Sexier than the average bear--er--high-top, these trainers sport YKK zips on both sides for easy entry as well as traditional laces for added tightness in the ankle. These will look amazing after continued wear as the canvas becomes abused and creased. Retail 990 USD.

15. Diet Butcher Slim Skin S/S 2010 (Thorns) Coated Leather Tab Jeans (Size 1)

Okay, these jeans are amazing! First of all, they are coated like those unfortunate seabirds in the Gulf of Mexico, with an incredible wax throughout the jean, though especially so at those parts of the jeans that would "crease" with repeated wear, e.g. the thigh, the back of the knee, the seat, and the hems. Second, the conspicuous leather strip running down the outside of either leg, an effect that looks incredible on these jeans (dark black vs. lighter black) when viewed from the side. Third, the classic DBSS skinny fit of these that would be entirely out of control on a size 29 or 30. Lastly, there are additional random details and distressing elements throughout the jeans, from the unique studs and rivets on the pockets, to the standard Diet Butcher belt keychain ring and seven-pocket design (four in the back), to distressing at the waist, knees, and hems. Overall, it's obvious that quite a bit of love went into the production of these jeans. These could easily accommodate, anywhere from a 28 to a 30 waist (or a 31 if you are like me and crave a beyond-skintight silhouette on your lower half). These are "stretch" jeans (5% elasthane), so they will mold to you as you wear them. (Five percent is sort of a lot of elasthane, which is why I say they could possibly fit a size 31.) They are entirely brand new (tried on once this morning) and come with all original tags. Pristine, unused condition.

16. Diet Butcher Slim Skin Fold Boots (Size 2)

Oh, these boots. These boots succeeded in dealing a bone-crushing blow to my heart. From (I believe...) F/W 07, I'd wanted these for such a long time. Now, being a true 42, I wear a Size 2 in most Japanese footwear, so I pounced on the opportunity to scoop these up in this size... only to realize that between the somewhat bulbous toe-box and the cut of the of the ankle opening, that these would be just *slightly* bigger than I was hoping. I considered insoles and the like, but have finally concluded that it's time for the circle to continue. So then. These boots are truly lovely. The leather reminds me (in the most flattering and least morbid way possible, of course) of folded skin, a feeling that only increases when the almost skin-like softness of the leather is felt. Cosmetically, they are somewhat worn, as there are some scuffs on the toe-box and wear on the soles. The scuffs could be eliminated by a nice leather treatment, and, of course, there are always vibrams for the soles. This is how they came to me, as--none to worry--I am not the sort of fellow who scuffs his boots. These would be best on a true 43/smaller 44 (27 cm/10.6 inch foot length being ideal.) They could work on a large 42; it depends, i suppose.

17. Endovanera S/S 09 "Bobby" Pant (31)

Yes, well, okay--so maybe these are just a little bit large on me. Err, okay, maybe a lot big. BUT--they still retain an awesome jodhpur-like silhouette when I have them on. Since WWI antiquarianism isn't really my style, however, I never really have occasion to wear these outside. So, they are, for all intents and purposes, entirely new. That said, I really do like these pants (I have them in size 28!), and they would look amazing on someone else. They are intended to fit slim, especially in the calves and ankle, and have fun little buttons near the hem that you may elect to button--or not (I button the top three and leave the bottom three unbuttoned). The fabric is a fabulous charcoal herringbone that grows lighter or darker depending on the light. They are semi-formal (office or after party, but not job interview) and work best when paired with a similarly playful button-down and oxfords. Or really, just do what you want; I will bet you a cocktail at said after party that you will look good doing it.
