Interesting places to go in LA/OC/SoCal

So I'm looking for weekly hipsterish nights in Los Angeles. Interesting places to go visit, shop, etc.

Somewhere in the LA/Fullerton/OC Area is fine.

Any type of interesting underground parties being held? Local events? Fun experiences?

I already know Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace.

What else is out there?

Pretty sure this has been addressed at some length in previous topics but anyway. If you're looking for hipster spots, stick with LA.

Cinespace - well-dressed hipsters

The Echo (and the whole Echo Park area) - dirty hipsters

The Smell - dirtier hipsters

Spaceland (and the whole Silverlake area) - ??? hipsters (never been there)

Hipster doesn't really exist in OC, the closest thing is the whole Obey/streetwear thing. Not worth going out of your way to see but there's The Crosby and Proof bars in downtown Santa Ana.

San Diego is ok. North Park / Hillcrest is the hipster area, lots of bars around there like Soda Bar. In the Gaslamp, Voyeur is pretty fun and draws a decent hipster crowd some nights. Again, not worth seeking out if you're already in LA.
