  1. I think Chet felt comfortable sitting by an open window in that position.
  2. I’ve a pair of 555 ‘44s waiting in the wings and I’m looking forward to getting around to them. 7/10 from Dr H and a 10/10 from crownzip isn’t a bad recommendation!
  3. I grew up in Sidney Street, it runs parallel with Jubilee St. If you look across Commercial Road from where you’re staying, you can see my old primary school and church! The George has a good history and has been a bit of a celebrity haunt in recent times.
  4. Looks like your morning coffee photo was taken from somewhere around Jubilee Street near the junction with Commercial Road and by the famous George pub.
  5. I think it’s more of a general vintage denim thread @Dry, although I’m happy for you to continue posting all your stuff in this LVC thread,
  6. ^ Charlie, unfortunately this is a fear that looms over like the Sword of Damocles
  7. ^ Can you check through your 2,000 pair vintage archive and confirm please? If not, you can write a letter of complaint on my behalf to Tracey Panek and the head of LVC. Thanks in advance!
  8. Please remind me, what’s the title of this thread?
  9. Here are my (worn) 76s with similar little dots on the top button. I have another pair BNWT in the Sales thread!
  10. If that’s the case, the Sales thread will be full of worn out/fake/garish Evisu jeans for £500 each
  11. She was sportingly retrieving the ball that went out of play, how would she know another one was being sent on behind her? Game management is to be commended but I’m not sure there was much time wasting - and with the new guidelines on added time, it serves little purpose anyway. EDIT: I also thought the standard of play from both teams (and indeed, most if not all, in this competition) has been very high. Women’s football has progressed in leaps and bounds and I’d rather focus on that aspect than any perceived negatives.
  12. Whilst I was looking at Duke’s (beautifully made) rhinestone cowboy belts.
  13. LVC ‘55s made with Cone denim, 3-4 summers wear, closest to true colour in the last photo.
  14. ^ I’m not sure why but I also consider Boncoura to be in a similar category.
  15. Warehouse 1003XX, 2-3 summers of wear on a light-ish weight denim (feels like 12.5-13oz but I’m not sure). Real colour is quite a bright blue, in between the darker full length photos and the lighter close-ups.
  16. TSPTR x Standard & Strange hi-tops in ecru (off-white) - £80 plus shipping from UK. Heavy duty, made in Japan, size US 8 / UK 7, brand new in box, never worn. I believe these are no longer available in shops. These come up big, more like a UK size 8 than UK 7, sole measures just over 28cm in length.
  17. The positives! Seriously, that sounds like an excellent, honest appraisal. Thanks b_F
  18. This is a good conversation. I quite like faster fading denim at the moment. As @beautiful_FrEaK pointed out, with slow faders you can end up with dark jeans with white knees, worn out crotches and busted stitching and never get the opportunity to see wear a lighter pair that are fully intact. Mileage may vary for individuals but 2 pairs I’ve worn recently that haven’t been stubborn (although I’m not necessarily calling them fast faders) are SC Okis and LVC 55s (2007 production) and I think I might start washing them more often than once every 1-2 months, which is probably what I currently do (although I don’t monitor the frequency so am just guessing) to lighten them up even more.
  19. Antiques Roadshow punter: “Well I bought these Buckweat shoes from a renowned dealer in South Yorkshire, he assured me they were made in California in the 1920s and they’re part of a set of 3 pairs.” Antiques Roadshow vintage footwear expert: “How much did you pay for them?” Antiques Roadshow punter: ”£600 for all 3 pairs but the seller assured me they’re worth much more due to their rarity value.” Antiques Roadshow vintage footwear expert: “They were made in China circa 2015 and have a value of £12 each.” Cue fake smiles and withheld tears…
  20. Sufu’s always been ahead of the curve in terms of metrosexuaity, mutual male support group, your bum DOESNT look big in that, etc. In these times of anxious millennials and Gen-Zers, middle-aged men with no friends (not me, honestly…) and an uncertain future for our world, everyone needs their own Sufu or just to wear nice denim and feel the love.
  21. Good detective work. Could they have been produced under both Shins AND Orizzonti ownership?
