    I had the original Internationalist in 1984, before they put that plastic thing around the bottom of the heel cup. I also had some Air Pegasus mk II in around 1988 in silver/grey with a teal swoosh iirc.

    I think the main difference between UK and SE Asian made will be in the uppers rather than the soles.

    I bought some Astorflex desert boots (made in Italy) 10 years ago and they’re still going strong. I didn’t want Clark’s as they’re all made in SE Asia these days, apart from the limited Made in England line (in Leeds I believe) which are quite a bit pricier.
