  1. Excellent! Is it easy to install a new battery? I have a couple of dead iPods (2nd and 4th Gen).
  2. I haven’t washed it yet but when I do, it’ll probably be at 30°C with a spin and hang dry. I don’t want any further shrinkage if possible.
  3. ^ The only other reference point I have is a TCB Seamen’s jacket (which fits but I’ve never worn) in size 38 whilst my 30s jacket is size 42. Although completely different styles, they both feel of a similar size (ie both should have the same size label in them) if that makes sense. I originally had a size 40 in the 30s jacket, which I wore for a couple of years but it just felt too small, particularly when done up so I sold it and bought a 42. I only wear it as a summer jacket with a t-shirt underneath, it would be too snug to later with a sweatshirt or jumper, if I’d wanted to do that I’d have bought a 44. It’s a great jacket though, I’m very happy with it.
  4. I have a 30s jacket and I can tell you the denim is blooming nice!
  5. Jim Moir aka Vic Reeves (on Celebrity Masterchef).
  6. You may have someone who is a measured 34” waist who wears size 32” jeans (which start out at 34”, shrink to 32” and stretch back to 34” if required) and therefore considers themself as a ‘true’ 32!
  7. Are they a new pair or are you back in the old pair?
  8. Our youngest is 14 now and she’s doing her first babysitting job for a neighbour’s kids this evening! EDIT: and for the denim enthusiasts, she’s wearing a pair of faded wash, high-waisted ‘mom’ style jeans from H&M! 😂
  9. Make sure he gives them a hot wash first Charlie, to get all those stains out, otherwise offer him a fiver and wash them yourself.
  10. I look forward to those dad knee fades Broark. Congratulations! 👶
  11. I don’t think they shrink more Mr B, it’s just the cut. If they’re still on the Warehouse site, it should state the expected shrinkage and you can compare it with the expected shrinkage of other models that use the same denim. In addition, I remember Warehouse bringing out an S1001XX about 10 years ago with a bigger waist than the standard 1001XX in the same size. I think sizing down sounds sensible.
  12. I think they started making jeans in 1975.
  13. Could those rivets be celebrating 1990? Toyo Enterprises was founded in 1965, so 25th anniversary then.
  14. ‘S’ button backs are 91-97 production. After that came the ‘98’ button backs.
  15. Does he ask for payment in advance? He might maintain his current operating model and build up a long waiting list, like some other characters that have previously been discussed on this forum!
  16. That looks like a beautiful place @shredwin_206
  17. I have the newer model Buzz sweat in olive and I don’t rate it at all. I’ve had it for about 9 or 10 years I think and it’s relegated to slobbing around the house wear. It’s too thin and shapeless, it just hangs, and is way inferior to my Deluxewear sweats and the older style Buzz ones. I bought a size L but should probably have bought M and it would fit better - I based sizing off their old models which came up smaller. I wouldn’t buy another, even heavily discounted as there are many better alternatives.
  18. As long as those slippers had spurs attached, you can count yourself ready for action
  19. ^ I can recommend Son of a Stag and Rivet & Hide - both do an excellent job and I’ve good experience of them. I’ve never tried Clutch Cafe but I have no doubts they’d be up to the mark too. Why not email/message all 3 in advance and ask if anyone can do it while you wait? You may also prefer whichever one is closer to where you’re staying. Where are you staying?
  20. The rise on SDA jeans does seem a little short compared to most repro brands. I think the 502 may be 50s inspired but isn’t classic 50s. I wore the 101 in a size 32 some years back and if I remember correctly the front rise was about 11” or so, maybe a little more (that’s after much wearing and washing) - another inch and they’d have been perfect. Those 502s seem to have an even lower front rise. interestingly, I also have a raw pair of (out of production) SD-001 in size 31. These are a 14oz LHT pair rather than the 15oz RHT 101s. They have a higher rise, bigger waist and thigh measurements than another raw pair of 101s I also have in size 32, although both are supposed to be based on the same cut. The 001s seem to be a more authentic 50s cut.
