I agree this is a good color, and a nice jacket overall. On a zipped jacket, especially a longer coat, I really think I'd want a double-ended zipper...

I quite like it when they start to wear like that but then when I was younger I wouldn't be seen in any thing that wasn't falling apart.

More thread spamming Washed the ww2 again , both the ww2 and the 46 have about 2 and a half years worth of wear . The ww2 has held on to a lot more indigo due to the looser fit I guess

The Sneakers we wear with our jeans

Novesta Star Masters or Dribbles run slightly large and quite wide in my experience... I'm usually 45/UK10/US11, but 44 would be ideal for me. 45's fine, but if I'd were to wear them with no socks or just liners they'd chafe from being too loose at the heel. They also come with an arch support that is not to everyone's taste – but can be easily removed. The soles wear down quickly compared to, say, Spring Courts... I've maybe ten pairs of those, but only two of the Novesta. Possibly gum sole versions would be harder-wearing – I'd be tempted by a khaki/gum pair myself if they were on sale. The Novesta Marathon is a decent shoe, but way too expensive at retail. Got a bit of a New Balance/German Army Trainer feel, very little visible branding, comfortable and wear better than the Star Master. I bought a denim pair of SM off eBay for.. dunno, USD $20 or so, and as soon as my wife saw them she said "I like those!" (she seldom volunteers an opinion on..anything to do with me, pretty much.. heh). So I found a black pair for her for even less, and she wears them a fair bit. Our eldest girl is a total fashion victim and wears a pair of Diors that look very much like they've been modelled on the old Novesta/Bata/Czech army shoes. Go to the source, I say.

I'd also like to recommend Warehouse as another option. I don't get to wear my sweatshirts all that much but the ones I got from WH last year are probably my favorites so far.

Agreeing: if a choice, get the cone... my experience is not based on the shrink of two of the exact same models but across a range different denims... [in the frenzy of cone-bagging got all the pre-40s models and the '76... had been studiously avoiding '47 and '55 for years and these were the ones that were selling out anyway... so with v2 stuff is around, decided, why not, try the '55 in this new version... ...] so (as don't have a cone '55 to compare) can only conjecture... but with one hot soak and a spin the tagged 32 inch length (which measured more around 31) is now more around 29... the tagged 36 waist shrank down some but with pulling when wet / wearing is now around 37/38 inches... [not near the pair or a tape measure to give concrete answer tho.] this is pretty comparable to how my last run cone '37s have behaved...

Found a pair of brand new 45rpm jeans for 15 dollars at a thrift store, logged back to SuFu to dig some info on them, and it then turned into lurking. It's a pleasant surprise to see so many OGs here.

@Toegun it could either be a 881 or 883 maybe. they're the two most popular models from them. you should just put them on when your main pair is in the wash. Thanks. i honestly forgot about my pair until i put my red clouds into the wash and looked through my denim rack. they're a comfortable pair to put back on and there's something about the fabric that makes it feel really nice to touch. i only wear them in between other pairs.. turned out alright i'd say.

Not quite the Purple Haze Little Wing magnificence of colour but I really like that tone. It’s good to see leathers in something other than browns and blacks.

I havent worn any of my ballparks in any work setting , just normal every day wear and have no complaints to note but I have heard quality complaints from more than OO and there price compared to other similar manufacturers a bit of a joke ( especially international ) . I will give a big thumbs up to there double layer after hood sweats though , it's my go to sweat when I'm doing any work around the house ( outside , way too warm to wear inside ) its seen a good 5 years of regular autumn/winter wear and it's still top notch , it's taken on a really nice faded look as well I wouldn't fixate on McCoy's as far as sweats are concerned , if I were asked to steer someone in the direction of a brand selling sweats it would 100% be two moon , great quality , amazing pricing and always release new colours every season

fwiw Andrew this 'quality drop' isn't recent.. folks have always claimed RMC to be of the utmost quality, probably just reiterating what McCoys and their associated retailers have told them in their quest to justify their price tag and sell more product but from my experience it's just not true, when you get your hands on the sweatshirts they do feel very plush and you'll think 'what the flip was 00 talking about' but wear them with any kind of frequency and chances are the stitching will start to break down.. a lot of you won't notice because you own way too much clothing and work office/non strenuous jobs. Ive got £6 sweatshirts which have outlived my McCoys but they're uncomfortable, poorly/unethically made, ill fitting and the material is uninspiring, i would say if you're looking for a perfect fitting luxury sweatshirt to wear occasionally then RMC is what you seek just don't expect it to last a lifetime. Others have different experiences of course. My JMC B-Park sweats are all peppered with holes where the overlock has disintegrated in high abrasion areas, under the sleeves, around the hem ect, you can poke your finger through them..

    The Leather Jacket Thread

I got my Mushman's "Adventurer" jacket last week. It was supposed to arrive in late November at the earliest, being more likely to show up in December, but somehow it showed up in the middle of October which was fantastic. If anyone is interested in dealing with Mushmans, the ordering process was super easy. I just DM'd on Instagram and everything was really smooth and communication which was great. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was an excellent experience. I'm sure you could email too if you're not on Instagram. They even threw in a nice branded hangar which is a cool touch. This is a "repro" of the Indiana Jones jacket, but it's really more of an homage as it's not accurate to the screen models, of which there are multiple. My old RMC A2 is something still in the back of my mind, but I didn't want another A2 just yet so I liked how this model had elements of an A2 combined with a sports jacket. It fits long, but I am surprisingly happy with this. I think it suits the jacket personally. Plus, I now have plenty of short fitting jackets. The only issue is that the arms are a bit long right now. I think they may shorten enough when the arms start to crease. If I need to shorten the sleeves, it should be pretty easy given that these don't have cuffs. The materials are all quite nice with the cotton drill lining being impressively soft compared to the cotton drill I've experienced in the past. The real star of this jacket in my opinion and the main reason that I bought it was the leather. It is Badalassi Carlo steerhide in a color they call "prugna" which I think means plum in Italian though it looks like prune to me. It is a burgundy-purple color that changes color drastically based on the lighting. Badalassi is my favorite tannery after Shinki Hikaku and this jacket is only reinforcing that opinion. The grain is beautiful and varies nicely depending on the panel, the color is deep and rich and there is a beautiful sheen to the leather. The smell is also amazing, even by veg tanned leather standards. Construction is good, but not stellar. It's better than a lot of jackets I have had, but well below the standards of my Freewheelers. It's about what I expected and it's satisfactory to me. Sorry for the rambling, here are some photos.

I’d get the Cone ones if there’s an option. If not, I’m sure that if you read back over the last 10-20 pages of this thread, there have been comments that there is less shrinkage in the v2 compared to Cone, particularly in the waist. Perhaps Bartles can share his experience in this regard?
