sawyer's was really good, the only one i got iirc. also perhaps a historic first, both of us had the same track on both of our .rars. if that doesn't signal true e-broship, i don't know what does.

anyone interested in a 2013-flavoured revival? I haven't listened to much new music, so perhaps later on like.. say.. Maaarch?

not trying to be too non-commital, but it's typically a pain in the arse wrangling superfuturians and get them to do something

I wanna reshape this whole thing. downloading mixes is really good, but for convenience I think we should maybe consider making youtube playlists? that way there is much less commitment involved for getting the mixes.. I know i've been too lazy at times to even download a mix i want to listen to.

i've got a bunch of stuff i wanna share though, so i'm going to put together a public youtube playlist and post it here.

ok. i put together a collection of tracks from 2013 i really like, got something in the works for later on: working on a dj-set sorta playlist, i want to try using software to mix it all together, maybe put a vocal track over some beats here and there. domdomdom, royalefatale, dum and others more experienced than me have already done something like this, kudos to their mixes they are great and i will reupload if the links are down.

i went a little crazy making one just now

 

some of the tracks were on the youtube playlists I made, but not many.

 

unlike sawyers mix, only a couple of the tracks i selected were from 2013. many from the late 80s and 90s. i apologize for the inconsistent quality, but many of these are really difficult to find better quality rips of. pm me for the link.

this mix is ALL over the place. transitions are often awkward. most of the songs are from 2014 albums ive enjoyed. technically the dexter johnson song is from 1969 but a label that specializes in senegalese music, teranga beat, produced a 2XLP from original tapes this year. i recommend giving the label's catalog a tour, high quality stuff.

ive sent a pm with a link to the mix, the SN and password to the tumblr to everyone that's replied so far. i also have NO IDEA how to make a post. if anyone can figure out or knows how, itd be nice to have a post with a link to everything anyone put together
