^ That shirt is phenomenal. Would be glad to see more detail shots of it if & when you get the chance

These also became a nearly everyday companion this winter and will likely be something I wear into the warmer months as they are so lightweight. Again the fade is so hard to capture. Unlike anything.
-
An end-of-the-winter wear updates on this one. It has become my favorite jacket yet. Perfect fit and the denim is lightweight so I can layer for mild weather. I ended up wearing this jacket daily. The color and texture is so hard to capture on this denim. Looks almost unbleached with a warm but gray tone.

The vests were nice, both the duck and the denim. 10 pockets, if I recall. Enough to completely lose track of where something is 😉

^ especially with all the squats you've been doing pal!
-
@MJF9 yea the s601xx I find crazy slIm through the top block compared to the other cuts.
-
^ I found the WW2 felt slim too after wearing wide jeans... however, as you said Julian, it didn't take long to swing around and get used to them. I tend to now flip in and out wearing them and all's good, especially as the denim has softened up lots

WTS J33-E black size M, no bag/sheet, but blank tape included. worn sparingly, in great condition - $1000 shipped worldwide PP f&f (g&s welcome, you cover fees)

They def. feel like they taper more through the lower leg than the ‘51 or the 601rb
-
@julian-wolfI get it. I go back and forth. Some days I am wearing oversized 132’s or fullcount 0105, some days still on my 601xx 51’s (which feel like the perfect cut for me in some ways, if we’re speaking more fitted). I like the wider fits a lot but the variety is good too. The 44/45 didn’t strike me as having a smaller hem from what I remember but I won’t find out for awhile I guess.

Anyone know of any good hbt work pants? Really after these vintage sweet-orrs on eBay but they’re size 32 -
The vests are intriguing, never really been a vest guy but seeing them wear them they look cool. A 507xx would be awesome.
-
@Broark They just had maybe 10 pairs of jeans for sale leftover from Inspiration; most sold in the first few minutes I guess. There were also a couple of the canvas hunting vests on display (not for sale), and one in a lightweight denim that they said they were gonna be starting production on soon (!). Incidentally, Ryo was wearing his 507XX and I asked if they were planning on making more at some point; he said hopefully yeah

I've been eyeing the new bandana but I've held off due to the larger size. I usually carry one of the Two Ears ones around in a back pocket during the summer to wipe away sweat. Curious what jeans they had available for sale this past weekend @JohnM / @julian-wolf?
-
Really like the new bandanas, but they’re too big to feel practical, for me. I have a couple in that format from Two Ears Brand, and they’re super cool designs & well executed prints but they just don’t see that much use in practice

Sad news out of Japan as Toshikiyo Hirata, founder of Kapital, has died. One of the highlights of my trip to Japan was visiting Kapital shops across the Golden Route. I admired the brand’s aesthetic, but didn’t think it would fit with my personal style. While a lot of the stuff they produce is too wild for me, most everything they make is high quality. My wife and I had a blast trying stuff on and purchased a few of their tamer, more basic pieces. The man had a vision and his contributions to denim and fashion are undeniable. RIP Hirata-san

Update on some 51s I’ve had for awhile and a fresh pair of 51s I picked up not that long ago a size down. Particularly enjoying the fades on the button fly. Almost have a back pocket rivet poking through. A few more spills skateboarding and I should be able to send out some sparks!

^ Nice Broark. Love Ooe. Saw Ryo and Hiro yesterday at S&S Oakland. Picked up a new turkey red bandana (larger than their last run). Will probably give it to my wife as men pushing 70 can look like turkeys wearing red bandanas.
-
They’re really cool jeans, & I like the cut a lot through the whole top block, but I’m having trouble with how much they taper. I’m not sure how close the measurements would line up on paper, but in practice they feel really close to the R01, which was a favorite cut of mine for a long time, before my current wider-jeans kick. I’m sure I’ll swing back around eventually.
