Rare Soft-Toe Brown 1940's Chippewa Engineer Boots. Leather feels like Horsehide, but not sure. Has leather midsole with leather soles and Cat's Paw Heels (see attached pic of another pair of 1940's Chippewa Boots [not part of this auction] of the same Cat's Paw heels for comparison). It appears that they have double rows of white welt stitching as opposed to the traditional single row. They are in Excellent vintage used condition with all the perfect patina and marks to "boot." The upper straps are fully functional, but were that way when I found them and I just never buckled them - looks a lot cooler that way IMO.

Plenty of pics (with & without camera flash) to tell the story of these boots, so please ask your questions before bidding. There's currently another company out there that produced a similar boot for $1,000. Do yourself a favor and have an original for less.

There are faint numbers visible on the right boot, but I can not tell which is the size. I wear a vintage 8 and these fit perfect - Please go by actual measurements for proper fit.

All measurements are approximate:

Length (heel to toe with heel against wall to furthest point forward): 11 ¼†(both boots)

Width (widest points on the heel): 4 ¼†(both boots)

Height (highest point): 11 5/8" (Right Boot)

12†(Left Boot)
