Saltwater wash...

i'm taking a trip to barbados on monday and i think its time for my JR cali's to get outta their usual routine and try something different.

i'm thinking of doing the saltwater approach. but how do i do it?

just swim with my jeans on?

Yeah how is it different than a regular cold wash?

What effect do the salt and sand have?

salt=starchy effect

Well I live right on the Atlantic Ocean so I was thinking of doing this when it comes time to wash my jeans, but that won't be until at least August.

Even in August the water is still pretty cold.

Is it worth it, or should I just do a regular hand wash?

I guess I have a lot of time to figure it out.

^^ I concur. The purist result gets me hot too.

I've followed a similar pattern with 2 pairs of LVC that I was working in - two dry cleans, a warm soak with vegetable soap and a cold rinse with Salt and Vinegar ( sorry, ringring I couldn't help it) they lost hardly any indigo at all the first wash but I figure the next time I wash them, I do it at 60º and it will transform them into something beautiful.

That's because that's the Pacific Ocean.

Luckily, Barbados is in the much much much warmer Caribbean sea.
