buying camcorder in japan

Normally live in australia, will i have any issues with ntsc/pal, or doesn't it matter once you run the movie thru the computer & burn it onto a DVD?

Also, has anyone tried out the Victor/JVC Everio, is the quality good?

If you normally live in Australia then get a PAL camcorder. Even with PAL >> computer >> DVD, it still results in a PAL DVD.

Also, almost all NTSC camcorders in Japan only have a Japanese warranty with Japanese instructions and buttons. You can buy international versions at places like LAOX but then the price is almost the same as if purchased duty free.
