French Denim Brands?

Anyone got a list of good quality (eg. GStar or Diesel standard or similar ie.with decent washes) French Denim brands.

Girbaud (although I think their jeans are made by an Italian company)

Any more?

Also anyone know any good German denim brands? Gonna take a trip to Berlin soon.

...oh hell come to think of it, feel free to post away with lists of any denim brands by country. I'm always interested in finding new brands I've not seen.
