^these are the only raw like ones i can find with decent pics online. not my auction. it says thier resin coated but i dont think they are. they remind me of higher quality neo vintage denim.

i never knew about this model but i stumbled across a raw like pair at the chicago michigan ave levis store on sale for $30. they fit so nice and slim and only have a 8.25'' leg opening on my size 30 dispite being a bootcut. they fit just like a pbj 005 basically. i already tapered mine to 7.5 and they could not fit any more perfect. Levis say they fit just like a 511 above the knee but they seem a bit more slim to me which is good. the front pockets are set a bit lower than normal and they have a white levis patch. the denim is really nice. much better than the 511/514 semi raws that you find everywhere. it has more of a vintage blue. a guy i work with wears these and they are fading alright in a short amount of time.

under this definition, all jeans are raw, even stonewash. everything will fade. in no way shape or form are these jeans raw.

I work for levis and have had much experience with these, they just simply aren't high quality, and more so usual levis quality. They stretch out, the denim is starchy and stinks a lot from the dye, the jeans are all short, and yes, they are the same fit as the 511. don't let the bootcut and bad sizing fool you. 511's also use a stretchier denim that stretches out way more because levis doesn't have the balls to do 100% cotton.

yes, they do have a traditional styled oilpatch cloth (like on the 201's) and yes the over dyed denim is nice, and yes at 30 dollars you can't complain, but seriously. this doesn't deserve a thread. and they're just fashion denim, in 10 years or less they'll be gone. same with the 511 and 514 most probably.

why would you taper these? the 510's measure similar to the 511's, except a bit tighter, and the raw actually resembles a raw jean.
