Shoes for the winter?

It's getting a bit too chilly and slippery around here, so freezing (and/or sliding) my ass off in sneakers just isn't an option. But every year I seem to have the same problem - what to wear, without compromising my style. Some Timbs might be an option, but they seem kinda played out. All the so called 'winter sneakers', or hiking boots just seem wack all the way. The only thing I can think of is some 'motorcycle boots', but I'd have to stuff my jeans into the them, and that just seems lame.

I've been wearing combat boots for years. The pair I have now are all beat up. Once they become popular I bet I could sell them on eBay as "distressed" for a shitload of cash.
