so anyone live in portland? We (my girlfriend & I) just closed on a place in the pearl district last week. From our time out there, thats the neighborhood we enjoyed the most...

any cool spots? what are the go to stores? pubs? eateries?

Any dive bar is worth looking into.

Amazing weed and micro brews just about anywhere.

Powells bookstore is heaven on earth.

Cafe Du Berry - kixslf (mikey) works there. Brunch to die for.

justbe is the main boutique here. They sell alot of streetwear brands and alto of it is shitty but its really all there is if thats your taste. Cool art and toys there too.

I lived there for 12 years, the only upside of portland is the food/drink, so be sure to enjoy that. Andina is a must-go-to restaurant serving peruvian food, go there and order off the tapas menu, be sure to drink the sachsayhuaman (sexywoman) habinero infused vodka w/ passionfruit, it's amazing. Other than that, Wildwood, Blue Hour, and a few other places are stand-outs.

Blakes in Northwest has some nice stuff, mostly denim.

We celebrate First and Last Thursdays of every month. Just when most of the galleries have their openings and in the warmer months there are street fairs. Last Thursday is Northeast and First Thursday are right in the Pearl.

Pacific Northwest College of Art is in the Pearl, 12th and Johnson.

As you probably noticed in your time here, the Pearl is our art district, like Chelsea is to New York, but no where near that...

Portland also has the most brewerys per capita in the world, even more than germany. Considered the microbrew capital of the world.

Also the weed, in my opinion, is the best when factoring in both quality and price.

if you skate there is a good skate shop called Cals Pharmacy. And its right next to the department of skateboarding which is a real nice indoor park. Other than that Lincoln high school is a real good spot

crystal ballroom is one of my favorite venues in pdx. make sure experience it at least once with a loud band...
