Info on Malo

Anyone have any experience with Malo? There are several pieces, mostly cashmere, on Bluefly and they are majorly pricey. I've never heard of the brand, so I was wondering is someone could shed some light.

Malo is an established Italian luxury brand, in the same vein as Missoni or Etro, with the same attention to detail though maybe a bit more conservative in style, I think. They make nice work of cashmere and other wools, sometimes blending them with other natural and artificial fibers to add interesting texture and drape to their pieces. I have a black cashmere/silk/polymide v-neck that looks cozy and feels featherweight. check ebay if you haven't already.

In Italy Malo, Agnona and Loro Piana make some nice stuff but they are pricey. I have a Malo jumper but the cashmere is supersoft and it pills easily. In my opinion, Ballantyne make the best quality and most durable cashmere gear around today. However, I think the quality of cashmere has generally declined in the last two decades and mass production hasn't helped either.
