Cleaning suede boots...

I picked up my first pair, and wanted to get opinions on cleaning them? I've heard an eraser, color them with a crayon, white vineger, cleaning solvent mixed with fullers dirt?... What's an effective safe way to clean suede?

Suede conditioner + brush. Kiwi. It is not complicated.

Does the brush have to be a "suede brush"? Or will a polish brush do?

use a large toothbrush & soft art easer. Those orange-ish crumbly ones.

i would treat them with a protective spray before wearing them, this will help make them resistant to incidental water contact. unless it's too late and you already got them dirty.

One of the best solutions I have found, it contains no harsh chemicals that distress the material. They market it as sneaker cleaning solution but it really will clean most shoes up a treat, whatever they are.

I tried it on a pair of suede boots and it cleaned them up better than I had ever been able to get them. Just be sure to get the premium brush for use on suede.

A little late to the party....but I always treat after purchase with the leather/suede treatment spray that they have at foot locker, etc, which acts like a sealant so water simply beads off.

i regret not using a spray, my grey common projects suede high tops have these rain drop stains. i thought they would be okay because they didn't get that wet and seemed to dry nicely but the next day there were these raindrop marks imprinted on the shoes.
