medicom produces some of the best stuff out there. interesting that they do so much underground stuff and small collabs, but then hello kitty and mass marketed be@rbricks.

can anyone give me the history or a history of them though? i only heard of them a few years ago.

I went to a Medicom exhibition at the Parco Gallery, Shibuya, Tokyo a couple of months back. They just seem to make lots of toys, l think they also own a shop called Project 1/6.

medicom is about 10 years old and was created by a couple from japan. they are brilliant.

in addition to medicom toy, they have medicom life, which includes furniture and home stuff. they also have a new brand called fabrick - accessories for girls, stuffed animal/charaters, pillows, you get the idea. ohhh there's much more new stuff

Started by Tatsuhiko Akashi in 1996 I think. They started making Devilman, Lupin III, Kamen Rider and other classic anime 12" (220mm for Kamen Rider) figures. Branched out to Kubricks in 2000. Then they created Bearbricks. They are huge now with tons of licensing deals. Their growth is really impressive.
