actually, acne was originally a swedish production company which made a limited run of jeans for their clients as a christmas gift. they eventually founded their own jeans label (as well as corporate design agency, online community for kids, synthesizer and drum machine manufacturing... and more). the jeans label had financial difficulties for several years before taking off last year and is now completely detached from the tv production business.
