Boot Sizing Help

Hey everyone, as some of you may have seen I've got some boots for sale on supermarket, but I just wanted advice on proper sizing:

I have a pair of Prada army boots, they are made from good leather which is tough, a lot more so than calfskin boots I'm used to wearing, I'm not sure how much it will stretch.

My problem is, in one size my toes feel a bit cramped, and when I bend my foot the little toe presses against the side a lot, it's not painful, but it's really annoying, enough to bug me all day, plus the uppers are kind of tight, make my foot feel a bit tingly.

I've tried the half size up and they are more comfortable overall, but I can slide my foot forward a couple of centimeters in them when sitting down, though it's harder to push my foot forward into them when I'm actually standing up. There's not much slip in the heel, yet it is of course slightly loser.

My question is, should I go keep the slightly uncomfortable ones and hope they stretch, or get slightly bigger ones and pad them out with an insole? I do plan to wear them a lot around London.

Thanks guys, it's good there's a place where people can be as obsessive as me!
