Leather shirts, pants

I don't really know much about leather, but lately I've really be digging the look of those buttery Japanese leather shirts, a la WJK:

I've also always really like this dudes fit (from The Sartorialist):

I don't really think I'd do the copped pants, but I like the look and fit of them. (Not really related to the shirt at all.)

So, what's up with those style leather shirts? Do they all cost a grip? Or what should one expect to pay for a decent one? How do they fit and look worn? I've seen some for sale here, but never really seen them on anyone. Etc.
