new bape store in harajuku?

saw a post on hypebeast today concerning the opening of bape in harajuku - anyone know where this new spot is located and why there's a new one opening there?

I think it's a relocation of the one already in Harajuku. If I read the map correctly, it's behind the OmoteSando Hills Shopping Centre.

the new store seems to have 3 levels. on the front

there's a ginormous neon sign that says "bapthing ape in lukewarm water 1992 (or soemthing)." on the side, there's a "GO APE" sign.

i saw the shibuya store as well (near parco). it sucks.

i was under impression that NIGO couldn't afford to keep the bapexclusive since

that section of minami aoyama (according to my family) is super expensive and he's not having much business these days.

apparently, the section has the highest rent / value per square foot. he's coming up with a new line called bape black label (i think) that will only be available at his aoyama retail location. that implies he's gonna still keep the aoyama one open...

there was a ginormous feature on the history of NIGO and his bape empire in the

latest issue of EYESCREAM magazine. it seemed pretty interesting

b/c it had interviews with mankee(sp?) and skatething.
