Global Denim Project-Scholarly Issue

Someone at my school sent this link around. It's kinda crazy, it's a warehouse of links to different denim projects that are all being done by academia. Here's a quote from the website that may explain it better:

"This website is dedicated to a newly developed project to understand the phenomenon of global denim. Its history, extent, economics, and consequences. Our research suggests that on any day the majority of the world’s population is wearing just one textile – denim. We want to know why?"

I haven't had a chance to look at any, but some of these projects are pretty interesting. If anyone can turn any of the "around the world" projects that are currently going on into a thesis project, we'd be all up in that.
