Why do most sellers insist that they wont ship to Italy, like this seller:

They'd even ship to zimbabwe!

The customs will hold back designer clothes shipped to Italy. Happened to me when I returned stuff to this Italian online retailer.

Hold back? any reasons to why? and when will they release the items?

What I understand is that they are wary of fakes being sent to Italy.

When they will release? I have no idea. My online retailer got sick of waiting and refunded me my money despite not receiving the goods. On a lark when shipping to Italy, I decided to get a tracking number which was a wise move on hindsight.
