big asia trip - shopping advice

im goin on a big asia trip at the end of the year - singapore,hong kong,bangkok,tokyo

im goin to do most of my shopping in hong kong and tokyo and was wondering if there are big sales in tokyo in early january like in hong kong. mainly wondering if japanese brands on sales in hk would still be more expensive then buying from tokyo.

save your money and go to tokyo. most hongers buy from japan and mark it up anyways.

don't overlook some great deals in singapore and bangkok. i always end up with more basic stuff from bangkok because it's so cheap and you can haggle for better deals. there are other times when i love japanese stuff, and times when i find it one big rip off.
