Japanese Denim advice?

I'm in Japan and from what I've read on denim (not all too much) I've heard that Japanese denim seems to be what everyone's after (or at least everyone on this board). So I figured that while I was here I'd pick up a quality pair of jeans.

I was wondering what you guys would reccomend for a brand of Japanese denim. I'm looking for skinny-fit type jeans, dark wash, possibly some raw denim. Any ideas?

I don't think there are Japanese skinny cuts, most are repro cuts. Your best bet is to get one with tapered leg and super-size down. Slimmest should be skull 5010 and PBJ's xx-005, but they're straight cuts.

^if you're a skinny guy, then those jeans are not skinny. they're slim to regular at the most. i tapered my f310s to get them skinny.

There are 100 threads with ALL japanese denims - why not just read at least 3 or 4 of them instead of making a new thread and taking the shortcut..

Or why not walk into a store and see the stuff while you're there..I mean some afford is the least you can put into this..
